Late PS3 release for Europe
News recently broke out that the PS3 launch in Europe would be delayed. Instead of launching on the initially promised date of November 17, the PS3 release date has been shifted backwards to March 2007. Gamers in Europe, Australia, Middle East, Africa and Russia would be affected. This delay is due to problems in the production of blu-ray, whose technology would be utilized in the PS3. Japan and US, however, would still be getting their PS3 consoles on November 11 and November 17 respectively. Asian gamers are not believed to be affected as well as they usually get their consoles soon after the Japan launch.
