Hardware Guide 23:Going Pink
More females have been taking up gaming as a hobby and console manufacturers are increasingly viewing them as audiences waiting to be pleased, so what do they do? Simple. Just take those awesome machines and treat them with fresh coats of pink. Now, those are consoles for females. Pink is the color. Below are some of the best examples.
^ The pink PSP was recently announced at this year’s Game Convention in Leipzig, Germany. Retailing at £169 and launching on October 27, it is (unfortunately) only available in Europe. The pink PSP will come bundled in a value pack with some really exclusive content besides the usual ones like headphones, wrist strap, pouch and a 32MB Memory Stick Duo. Sony’s collaboration with pop star Pink means that buyers will also get their hands on a UMD featuring videos, live performances, in addition to interviews with the singer. Fans, watch out for it!
^ During the same event, Sony also announced a spanking new pink PS2. However, there is another bad news: Like the pink PSP, it will only be available in Europe, hitting the shelves in November 8 and selling for £129.99. It will be bundled with 2 pink-coated DualShock controllers and a pink memory card. Get if you must. Hey, shouldn’t Sony paint the PS3 in pink too?
^ To top it off, there is the pink DS Lite. Already armed with a remarkable design, putting the DS Lite in pink will make it even more gorgeous – the perfect companion for any female who is into gaming. Available at a store near you right now.
