PS3:Summer and Beyond

The PS3 is arriving soon, and you need to select good games to accompany the console. Listed below are some of the most promising games PS3 games. Enjoy!

Coded Arms: Assault

This futuristic first-person shooter (FPS) comes to live on the PS3. You are put into a role of a hacker trying to defeat an evil corporation that is hell bent on drowning the world in chaos. Like Black (PS2/XB), players are to use explosive objects to their fullest advantage. Send the debris flying towards your enemies and blow the enemy cover with the sophiscated weaponries at your disposal. The game allows for single-player mode co-op online.

Resistance: Fall of Man

Years back in 1951, an alien species landed on Earth and planned to conquer it. You and your soldiers must repel these aliens before it is too late! Get creative with the never-seen-before weapons that have the ability to shoot multiple rockets at one time and spit sticky goo. Use them to your advantage to defeat the hordes of unwelcomed visitors.

Full Auto 2: Battlelines

It is time to get destructive again! With more vehicles and weapons to choose from, you can be sure to expect more carnage. What’s destruction without destructible objects? The developers have expanded the number of destructible objects, which can be used to crush your opponents’ vehicles or to block their paths. Bundle that with 13 new courses and multiplayer and you will definitely find enjoyment in this game.

Virtual Fighter 5

Sega’s realistic fighting game is set to treat your eyes to a buffet with advanced lighting effects and environmental details, as well as improved character models. With a cast of a whopping 17 fighters, you can never be sure of whom you will want to pick. Fighters are also customizable with costume patterns and other interesting items. Defeat your opponents to compete for prizes and earn in-game money to buy items at the in-game shop. How much more exciting can it get?

Grand Theft Auto 4 (Image not available)
Feel like wrecking more havoc with Grand Theft Auto? You will soon be able to. With new locations for you to explore and create trouble for the law enforcers, what better place can you head to vent your frustrations after a hectic day at work or school? The game will be released next year, but unfortunately, neither official screenshot (the ones that you find online are gimmicks posted by god-knows-who) nor detail is available at the moment.

Final Fantasy 13

The fantasy is not final, at least not in this game. Be sure to expect more action than ever, more nail-biting encounters with enemies, and of course, inevitably, the almost out-of-this-world graphics. The characters just look too real, don’t they? More information will become available as the game nears its release date, which has yet to be announced, but judging from the reception of fans for past Final Fantasy games, the response for this game should not be any different.

F.E.A.R.

Return to this horror PC first-person shooter (FPS) game on the PS3. Brushed up graphics are more than certain to introduce themselves into the PS3 version, making the ghost girl more frightening. The A.I.-controlled opponents would be smart enough to run for cover if you shoot at them. Just be careful not to alert them of your whereabouts.

Army of Two

Here is one great action game that is attempting to reinvent the genre. Welcome to Army of Two, an action game unlike any other, where emphasis is placed on the need for the two soldiers to survive and help each other out in order for missions to be completed. You need your buddy to aid you in battle, you need your buddy to help you up the ledge, and you need you buddy to save you when you are injured. You need your buddy for almost every other thing! For you two shall stay through thick and thin together – no matter what.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Gun of the Patriots

Gamers have been anticipating this game since it was announced in November 2004. So, what can you expect in this game? The adventure is set in the aftermath of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Besides a promised fresh storyline, Metal Gear Solid 4 is going to differ from previous MGS games by the fact the Solid Snake will be forced into unexpected circumstances. Look out for it!

Lair

For everything dragon, there is Lair, a PS3-exclusive title. Steer your dragon with the motion-sensitive PS3 controller. Lock claw in claw with your opponents’ dragons as you attempt to tear them to pieces. You will have a chance to disembark from you dragon, but why would you be doing that when you can enter the battlefield and make roasted meat out of everyone with just a breath of fire. If you cannot cook them, flatten them into pancakes by trampling on them. The sheer power of the PS3 will ensure that your dragon slays the enemies in style.
